SIA RANKS 100 LARGEST GLOBAL STAFFING COMPANIES; TOTAL OF $203 BILLION REVENUE

(Oct.11, 2018, /staffingindustry.com/) A 2018 list of the 100 largest staffing firms in the world based on global staffing revenue from 2017 was released by Staffing Industry Analysts. The companies comprising the top five on the list were unchanged, although Recruit edged up a spot to No. 4 on the list. Meanwhile, The Adecco Group remains the world’s largest staffing firm.

“The firms comprising the 2018 list achieved a combined turnover of $203 billion,” said Adam Pode, SIA’s director of research for EMEA and APAC. “With the global staffing market generating revenue of approximately $461 billion in 2017, these firms represent an estimated 44% of the total.”

Revenue calculations for this staffing list include the service provision of temporary staffing and direct hire; they do not include fees that are unrelated to staffing.

 

In total, 37 companies on the list posted revenue of more than $1 billion in 2017, up from 36 companies in 2016.

Among the top 100 firms, 46 on the list are headquartered in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Another 39 are based in North America, and 15 are based in Asia. Thirty-four of the largest firms are publicly listed.

 

Five executive search firms are included in the ranking, with Spencer Stuart and Korn Ferry in leading positions respectively for this niche.
